Are you feeling disheartened? Have you lost the motivation to be persistent? Well, the solution is simple. Just get up from where you have been sitting and take a break!! This break is a conscious, physical break that you will take, from the activity that you have been engaged in.
Get up. Move around. Go outdoors. Go for a little walk or just sit outside. Look at the vast blue sky. It could be sunny and bright or dull and gray (depending on where you are located). It might even be rainy. Just look at that blue/gray /cloudy vastness – without thinking. Hold all your thoughts consciously for a few minutes. Look at the vastness. And just BE. Allow your breathing to flow…easier than before. Take deeper breaths…that are slow and steady.
You will start to feel a kind of peace that’s slowly descending into you…when you feel yourself expanding (not physically of course) de-focus. Now take 5 deep breaths & consciously let go of the tension that’s stored up within you. Release the loop that you feel you are caught into. Visualize yourself releasing that tensed loop.
Allow the block within you to dissipate into the cool breeze ( or perhaps warm breeze, depending on your location). Visualize or feel the ‘block’ melting away. Allow your mind to wander. Juggle your mind to find a pleasant memory. And as you find yourself loosening up – slowly focus back on the job at hand.
Take all the freshness that this little break has provided you to the job that you were engaged in. Know that you can run thru this little exercise again, anytime. I do not know how long your break will last. It could last 5 minutes or 15, but I can assure you, you will feel revived and clearer in your mind than you were feeling a while ago.
