Loving Kindness…

Holding Daisies

“Loving kindness is a form of love that truly is an ability, and, as research scientists have shown, it can be learned. It is the ability to take some risks with our awareness-to look at ourselves and others with kindness instead of reflexive criticism; to include in our concern those to whom we normally pay no attention; to care for ourselves unconditionally instead of thinking, “I will love myself as long as I never make a mistake.” It is the ability to gather our attention and really listen to others, even those we’ve written off as not worth our time. It is the ability to see the humanity in people we don’t know and the pain in people we find difficult.”

  1. AMAZING TRUTH!! THIS is exactly what I teach Natasha. We have conversations regularly about how we need to choose every day, sometimes every moment, what kind of person we are. She is learning to respond, in her way, to mean people, to bullies, & to apathetic people, rather than react. It requires self-discipline in one’s thinking & the behavior will follow. She is rocking it at 13.

I have to say I am proud of myself for trudging through the septic swamp of my upbringing. I kept the light & scent of my Lotus Flower Spirit in tact. Because of that, I am able to teach Natasha that Loving Kindness is mine & hers inherent nature.

She is mastering not allowing the ugliness of the world to darken her heart. Her heart is abundant with LOVING KINDNESS.

THANK YOU SWAMI RACHNA for sharing YOUR LOVING KINDNESS.

  2. So beautiful idea ! Some people have this ability. When the person in difficulty is seen through the feeling of loving kindness of the other person, the person who is viewed gets healed !! In traditional way, it is called “blessing”. When we are so compassionate, so nurturing, unconditional, non-judging and we begin the process of knowing the other person …… the other person though with his/her difficulties fall into our good intent …….. our loving compassion (the intensity of vibration) heals him/her. Though we are watching the person from apart, the person feels good. Some where the person is unblocked / cleared. It’s the power of compassion and unconditional love. Some people in the east use to say, ” After meeting him/her in my life I am feeling good. There is a change ! I am feeling different.”
